Overview of Combination chain rigging
Chain rigging is a type of rigging that is connected by metal links. According to its form, there are mainly two types: welding and assembly. According to its construction, it is made of high-quality alloy steel, including single and multiple pieces.
The outstanding features are wear resistance, high temperature resistance, low ductility, and no elongation after being subjected to force. It has a long service life, is easy to bend, and is suitable for large-scale and frequent use occasions. Flexible multi limbs and various combinations can improve work efficiency and reduce costs.
Precautions for use
1. Prohibit overweight operations;
2. The chain is not allowed to tie or twist during use;
3. The chain rigging can be adjusted in length using a dedicated adjuster;
4. Do not load with the tip of the hook;
5. The normal working temperature of chain rigging is -40 ℃ to+200 ℃;
6. Starting from+200 ℃, the ability to increase is reduced to 90%;
7. Starting from 300%, the ability is reduced to 75%;
8. Not recommended for use after 400 ℃.
Scrapping conditions
1. Chain links are broken, do not weld or use them on your own;
2. Deformation of chain links, lifting rings, intermediate or connecting components;
3. Reduce the average diameter of the chain link by 10%;
4. More than 3% stretching occurs at any position of the chain;
5. The deformation of the hook exceeds 10%.
Lifting precautions
1. Develop good lifting habits and plan how to hang, lift, and unload before lifting work.
2. Preparation: Determine the weight and center of gravity of the lifted object, carefully read the accompanying documents, and mark the lifting points and weight data. Only after determining the center of gravity can the hook be hung in a suitable position!
3. Crane operators should be informed of the weight of the lifted object.
4. The crane hook should be vertically suspended above the center of gravity of the lifted object.
5. Lifting heavy objects should not only avoid damaging the lifting object, but also prevent damage to the rigging itself. To avoid rotation or falling, the following conditions should be observed:
a) Single leg rigging, the lifting point should be vertically above the center of gravity of the lifting object.
b) If it is a two legged rigging, the lifting points should be located on both sides of the lifting object, and the lifting point should be above the center of gravity.
c) If it is a three legged and four legged rigging, the suspension point should be evenly located at the level of the center of gravity of the lifted object and above the center of gravity of the lifted object.
Attention must be paid to the lifting angle β (Located between the vertical line and the lifting leg): The larger the lifting angle, the smaller the lifting capacity. Lifting angles exceeding 60 degrees are absolutely not allowed!
